Krita Training DVD: News 1

Hi,
The project is on its way. I’ve finished the tutorial plan, the storyboard and character design for the next pages (see the little WIP preview under).
My Krita git build looks stable enough to work, some bugfixes I was waiting have been committed right on time (special thanks to Pentalis), and also some cool new features…

So today I’ve started recording the pages drawing process that I’ll use as base video material for the dvd. This new little story will go on the 20 pages comic-book, along with “Wasted Mutants” story.

We’ll start pre-orders as soon as possible, but in the meantime if you haven’t already you still can help us and support the project with a donation (and then have a special discount on the pre-order, and a personal dedication+drawing on your comics 😉 ) Please Donate at Krita.org

LGM 2011 report

I want to make a quick report of my last week at the Libre Graphics Meeting in Montréal.There I’ve met awesome programmers, terrific artists, and everyone was really nice people !!! 🙂

I guess my first talk there was not so bad, as many people have been interested and wanted to give a try to Krita after it, and that was the main goal of this talk.
As for me now I’m very excited to give a try to colord, Oyranos, FLOSS manuals, OpenGameArt, LightTwist(+Compiz plugin), PiTiVi … And that was cool to learn more about Scribus, Inkscape, Mypaint, Gimp … (that I already used but always have new things to learn 😉 ). Also some very interesting talks about many aspects of developing and using libre software professionally, comparing experiences around the world.
Hopefully videos from all the talks will be available soon on the official LGM website, and you can already read some articles if you google around the web (like here : 1 2 3)

Again a big THANK YOU to organizers, as well as all participants, who made this event great. Hope to see you next year!
